Does anybody really care about Human Rights?

Does anybody really care about Human Rights of the vulnerable people of this world? Do you honestly care?

If we genuinely care about Human Rights, then how come we, the civilised people, elect those uncivilised individuals with iron fist to carry out brutal act of cruelties in our name against those who are conveniently ignored and abandoned by the global social system? Think about it.

May be we are in a deep state of hypnosis and don't realise it or perhaps we are too busy due to the imposed pressure of our unsustainable social system to really care about anyone else, but our immediate world. Perhaps the only way we may openly speak out against such tragedies is when we individually find ourselves as refugees, ignored and brutalised by the system to truly appreciate the magnitude of such social injustices.
